The
models and schemes of accreditation in health include
from the scheme of the National Service Framework (NSF-UK)
to more specific and circumscribed models to
certain activities like for example the American Model
of Accreditation for Sleep Laboratories. Between the oriented
models of Total Quality towards the excellence in Health
the Malcolm Baldrige only subsists, since the EFQM
retired the own one at the end of the Nineties. However,
in Latin America they are receiving importance and
maturity accreditation models services: Colombian Model,
Mexican Model and Chile Model based on the EFQM scheme.

Accreditation Model of Health Service. ANAES. French |
France
has experienced the relaunching of the accreditation of
health services impelled by its Ministry of
Health through the National Agency of Accreditation and
Evaluation (ANAES). The ANAES has an excellent model of
accreditation of institutions of health, to which during
the 2005 it has added the evaluation of the professional
practices. The first version of the Model of
Accreditation dates from 1999-2003, and recently, in the
2004 they have published its update that includes the
second process of accreditation for all the services of
health of the country. The model contemplates hospital
services, mental health institutions, chronic and
taken care of ambulatory care.

Joint Commission Model (JCAHO) |
The
Joint Model is extended in United Stateds Health Sector. The accreditation
includes to all type of institutions: hospitals,
ambulatory, residential cares, specialized, including
specific models for prevalentes diseases. We

Australian Council Health Standards manages an
excellent model in which the Management of Health

Malcolm Baldrige Model
It
is the spread model of Total Quality more in the USA and

with the Model of the EFQM, although Baldrige is
